Supporting Women through Pregnancy and Birth

I began my journey of becoming a doula in 2002. It all began with supporting a cousin during labor, mainly for translation purposes. At that time I was a young mother of a beautiful little boy and pregnant with my second son. Seeing a birth from the observational point of view, for the first time, made a profound impression on my life. I went on to have seven of my children, six sons and one daughter. After my first child was born, I realized that I needed to educate my self and know more about potential situation and my options. "Be prepared" was my motto... and it did help to reduce the amount of stress in difficult situations. Thus, I went on to not only educate and help my self, but support numerous women in their uneventful pregnancies, as well as and especially in high risk pregnancies.
